Thanks to Teams 245, 341, 223, 87, 1228, 75 and Many More!

I'm not one for Thanks and Congrats or to make a Thread about it but I felt like I really needed to do this. This past season has been the Most Taxing and Difficult in 816's history but it has also been the most Successful in 816's History. In my Time on the Team we have gone from the Lowest of the Low to a Team that can Topple Giants, and we didn't do it without help.

I'll start with some teams we worked with:

Team 1228 - You guys were awesome in New Jersey. When we Allied together I knew we had something that could be quite deadly in the Mix. In the End we didn't pull off what we were hoping to do but Even the Best of us are plagued with Mechanical Issues.

Team 75 - Working with you was one of our Fondest Memories from the season. It was great for us to get to work with a team that was so well rooted in FIRST in New Jersey. You definitely are the Best of the Best both on and off the Field. Sorry We couldn't get together in the Dome, it just wasn't in the Cards.

Team 223 - In Philly we were having a rough time and got some weird loses but you saw that we were doing well. Thanks for choosing to work with us, sorry we couldn't go farther.

Team 87 - Our Neighbors from down the Street. It was great to work with you guys since we owe our existence to you. Playing with you was such a great experience and I hope it adds on to the bond our two teams had together.

Onto the Championship:

Historically 816 has Never ever done well at the Championship. We never Made the Eliminations at the Championship until 2008, and never won a match in the Elims even though we had gone in '02, '04, '05, '06, and '07. This year we finally broke the Curse, but we didn't do it without help.

Team 245 - Adambots, you were truly an awesome team to play with. Your Human Player was on point with his shots, your Drivers knew how to work well with us, and your machine seemed un-breakable. The way you would capitalize on a pin was awesome and you never seemed to Slow us down after we got started. I look forward to seeing you guys do well in the Future.

Team 341 - Miss Daisy, After all these years of seeing you through the Glass it was finally great to have you on our Side. You were consistent under pressure and proved why you've been so successful over the years. Your Driving and Strategy was Fantastic and we worked so well together. Hopefully this won't be the last time.

Any some other More Personal Thank You's:

Team 11 - What can I say, I love MORT. You are awesome people. Even though we never got to Ally together in the Elims it was awesome to play with and against you guys this year.

Team 1089 - You guys are awesome. Don't worry, the whole TheFro fan club thing is awesome and not Creepy at all. It was nice to have you guys cheering for us. Good Luck Next Year, I heard you might be getting a new mentor.

Stogi from Team 11, You're the Man, You helped 816 so much and I don't think you even knew it. Your Design input and general advice made this Season so Much Easier.

Shan from Team 612, My third Coach. Thank you so much for the Help on Saturday. I don't think we would've gotten through that first Qualifier or Out of the Quarters without your input. You truly are the best Student Coach I've ever met.

There's so many other people that fall into this category, you know who you are and you're some of the most awesome people around.

Finally, Thank you 816. It was an awesome four years with you guys. You're some of the Closest Friends I've ever made throughout School. It was awesome moving with you guys from the 86th team on Newton in '06 to the 6th Seed that toppled the 3rd Seed on Curie this year. I wish you all the best of luck in whatever you do, you won't see me back in the Blue and Orange next year but I'll be around, don't worry.

Now those fans are the greatest

Thank You Dustin for convincing me to remove Traction Control from my robot, it really is not needed out there and my team's robot was instantly better at championship because of it. It was fun working with your team this year on the side, 816 is a fun team to be around.

This is the first year we've gone all out to help other teams accomplish their goals and still reach ours. Thank YOU Dustin and 816 for your friendship, there is nothing on our robot worth as much as that.

Likewise, thank you for selecting us! It is amazing that it took until 2009 for our teams to finally get to work together. And work together we did - the #3 alliance that we defeated in the quarterfinals was a powerhouse, and it took the best from all three of our bots to pull off the W. And we even had the ThunderChicken alliance within one ball in our second semifinal match.

Thanks to 816 and 245 for all your help, and we'll see you again next year!

Psh....1089 doesn't need more mentors, they have Chris! Who's better than Chris? Nobody!

Seriously though, 1089, you guys are awesome. I say that from the heart. MORT was so impressed by your dynamic team this year that we've made some plans together for the future.

Psst...Dustin, you're welcome to join us and wear the yellow and black any time.

agreed... mr gregory is the most ultimate mentor (imho)

i <3 team 11 right back, and i am excited to hear about these future plans... oh and after seeing 1323's site, and EWCP, i have appealed to my team to join... i think we are already a part of RINOS (25), but i think i can get them to think about EWCP, which is an awesome organization...

akash, i have wanted to meet you since about the day i joined CD. I always enjoy your insight, and awesome advice and stuff. I met Dustin a couple times (), but im hoping i can meet you at an offseason, or even next years regionals? pm about if you want...

Dustin:

First of all thank you for choosing us to run with you in the playoffs.

We did our best and had a blast. It was truly a pleasure working with your team. I think we had a very strong strategy session and truly worked together on the field.
Also I have watched you drive at many competitions now and you are an amazing driver.

Best wishes to you, your team, and your coaches in the upcoming off-season.
