Da Bears Scouting program

This year, our team created a scouting program, which many different teams used (we even made a customized one for TnT 280).

Our team was wondering if we make this universal for every team, you would want it?

Thumbs up Re: Da Bears Scouting program

Yes! We'd love it if you shared with everyone. No sense in everyone putting all the hours of programming time that you must have done!

Re: Da Bears Scouting program

We would be interested in it as well. I saw it when we partnered with you in one of the matches at the State Championship. I think it is awesome.

Are you thinking about sharing the program or the data as well?

We share the data with anyone who asks (so next time you need scouting data, feel free to ask Da Bears), but as of now, we were thinking making it universal for any game and any team. If it gets big enough, we could probably set it up so you see the data, but we wanted to know if we do change it and put time into it, then people will use it.

Red face Re: Da Bears Scouting program

i know this may sound a bit weird but is this program compatable with the FTC games? How about Vex? will you be making one for next years games both FTC and FRC

we as an FTC team are simply using paper to scout and it is much to slow and we run out of room very quickly
we would love to use a software program

If we wanted to make a universal scouting program, that would have the basics all put in, all we would need is enough interest....
But as of now, anything in FRC is going in it, and if that makes it compatible enough then you could use it.

Re: Da Bears Scouting program

We were with you at Michigan Championships, and we loved your scouting program. You should make it universal. Start handing it out to people, that will make it popular.

We want to make sure people will use it if we hand it out.. (so reply if you will)

Also, if it becomes popular enough, we would go around with a flash drive and give people match lists, our scouting....etc. etc.

I got a chance to see the scouting program up close when we were teamed with you guys in various matches. It's an awesome program.

Re: Da Bears Scouting program

We would love to use it. Having something like that would be helpful, especially for teams who are lacking in programmers to program the robot and a scouting program. I would think that this could also be helpful to rookie teams who may not know exactly what or how to scout.

Re: Da Bears Scouting program

I always thought about this:

Why doesn't a team make a uniform scouting program. Now I see one. Most teams don't have the programmers nor the resources to do this. We at 1323 would appreciate such an awesome scouting program.

Thanks Da Bears,

-RC

Re: Da Bears Scouting program

I know that most of the teams posting here are from michigan. Honestly though the teams who aren't from michigan and didn't get to see it up close and personal I would like to say this: It's one of the best scouting methods I have used ever.
