Would you watch a Football game if there was no defense?
Is watching a person walk by himself a particularly exciting event to watch? What if he was walking with 3 other people, does the event get more exciting? What if they were walking because they were trying to get in shape together? Now, what if you gave them wiffle ball bats and said the first person to cross this line wins, more exciting?
I'm sorry, but if FIRST wants to compete with sports, we have to have a good game to watch. Less hugs. In the real world, everyone doesn't win.
