Re: Solidworks Student Edition Version INSTALLATION HELP NEEDED!!!

does the 64x edition run a lot better? I've got a copy of 32x, but i'm running a 64x OS and it's very laggy at times.

2 8800 GTS w/ 512 each
8GB DDR2800
AMD 6400+

The 2009/2010 SolidWorks Student Edition will contain a 64-bit as well as a 32-bit DVD. It will be available in June.

It runs really laggy for me. I reformatted (for the heck of it really, not because of this) and it was still laggy.

My drivers are up to date.
I have noticed that it takes a really long time to zoom in and out with the scroll wheel (i've got a logitech G5), but if I hold shift and move the mouse it is fairly smooth.

I have installed the 32bit on my 64 bit computer. It doesn't run too much slower.

One of the kids on 971 noticed this a last year on his nice gaming rig too. He could rotate nicely, and zoom with the zoom tool, but the scroll wheel didn't work well. I don't think he found a solution though.
