Re: Amateur Radio takes over Google...
My wife, who is a hospital pharmacist, told me the story (which I will no doubt convolute here) of a hospital that lost its communication functions for some reason I cannot recall. She said the local ham radio group stepped in, set up a comms system, and saved dozens of lives.
Perhaps the Amateur Radio-eers taking over the world isn't necessarily a bad thing. edit: a quick Google search (or was it --. --- --- --. .-.. .) showed me several hospitals in America have ham radios as backups in place Last edited by Taylor : 27-04-2009 at 11:17. |
