A couple of team members and I went to visit him Friday evening. Due to a slight mixup we missed him by about 2 minutes. He checked out and went home for a couple of weeks of home care.
I talked to his mom on Saturday and he is progressing well. He is having trouble with his eyesight in his left eye as of Saturday but it may improve. Part of the skull was removed to allow space for the brain swelling. In a few weeks he will return to have one or two more surgeries to reinstall the bone. So it will be awhile for all this to play out.
