EPiC (Eden Prairie in Coopertition) SURVEY

Hello Teams,

Please only fill this out if you are interested in a off season hosted in the suburbs of Minneapolis. It may mean that it's only a couple teams on CD, but I also sent this to the regional director so all is well. I want to get a feeling for how many teams will actually pay the price ($100~$200) and show up... Survey includes possible dates... as no details have been concretely planted yet.

If you think you are so excited as to want to volunteer :O let me know!!!!! <3

(This preferably would be filled out by the lead mentor or lead captain, so there isn't like a "Oh I thought we were free that weekend" issue)

I have got to say that this is the best name for any off season event I've heard of.

Haha, thank you. I stole the initials from our QuizBowl invitational. It's named EPIC and I tried to come up with names to fit that initial and came up with EP in Cooperitition

Re: EPiC (Eden Prairie in Coopetition) SURVEY

It might just be me but I don't think that many Minnesota teams check Chief Delphi. There are lots of rookie and second year teams. Also, if they do happen to check, the odds of them finding this thread is low unless they regularly check. I would recommending emailing the teams in the area to find out their interest. My team will probably fill out the survey in a couple days to a week or so.

I thought it sounded familiar... I think I've _been_ to your Quiz Bowl Invitational. La Follette 2007-2008 school year.

I can contact Kennedy High School in Bloomington about this, see if they want to come give them a second chance of getting their robot to work!

Re: EPiC (Eden Prairie in Coopetition) SURVEY

I know that King TeC was thinking about doing one and talked to roughly 4 teams about setting one up but I haven't heard since the 4 teams had said they were interested. Be sure to get into contact with them to see what they have going.

I have to agree with Matt, not too many of the MN teams get on here on a regular basis, especialy now that the season is over.

You need to post this on the MN Regional forums, although right now that is probably getting even less traffic. Also, please contact Mark Lawrence, he has the email contact info for every team in MN, and get something sent out to everyone.

I will check with my two teams and see if either is interested. I can't predict my calendar out that far right now, but I think I would be available to volunteer.

You know, he did say that he'd also sent the questions to the RD for distribution.

The survey has been updated. Even if you aren't from Minnesota, I highly suggest you think about coming! It'll be a great event!

I would recommend that you invite schools that do not have a team yet. Burnsville is the one of the schools that we should bring into the fold. I graduated from Burnsville and would love to see a team there. Depending on the dates, I may come out and help with recruitment.

I was the Game Announcer for North Star this year and really enjoyed the event. Good luck with your event.

That is a valid point. I just didn't know if there were any school willing to come as pre-rookies! We will invite this event to any team wanting to come!
