Laptop is not finding the cRIO properly?

Our team has made the purchase of a new cRIO device, and we have been trying to get it up and running. Our power supply meets all the requirements in voltage and amperage, and everything lights up properly. The computer will recognize the cRIO is hooked up, but will not be able to connect and run the imaging tool. The IP address on the cRIO is set to 10.22.52.2, so we attempted to change network connection’s IP to 10.22.52.2, but the address will not set to that. Instead of being able to set the first number set as “10,” we can only set the first number as one digit. The internet and other forums don’t seem to be going in the right directions, but if anyone can offer any help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Re: Laptop is not finding the cRIO properly?

The new cRio's address should actually be 10.0.0.2 and when you run the imaging tool it will reset the IP of it. Set your computer's static IP to 10.0.0.6 and you should be able to connect and then re image. Once it has COMPLETED reimaging then you must reset your computers IP to 10.xx.yy.6 to talk to it further through Labview or WindRiver. Also be sure to have the subnet mask on your computer 255.0.0.0 with the default gateway and DNS servers of 10.xx.yy.4

Still when setting the IP address on the computer I cannot set "10.0.0.2" I can only set "1.0.0.2".

Re: Laptop is not finding the cRIO properly?

Thank you for your time rdlevy1215, I appreciate it.

The issue was in the keyboard, it's not accepting half of the key inputs, so I'm using the character map to find the characters I need.

Again, thank you.

You could use the on screen keyboard in windows as well too -- Start-->Programs-->Accessories-->Ease of Access/Accessibility (Depending on Vista/Win7 or XP, respectively)
