Desperation

Hey everyone...I'm in a bit of a jam that I was hoping someone could help me out with. I'm creating a computer video presentation for my statistics project in school (project done on FIRST of course!) -- But I need video of this year, and any years past in Quicktime format.

I went to go look at the SOAP page, but I can't access it...not sure if the server is down or what. My teach. decided today that my group is to present on Fri...so if anyone knows of a site, please let me know!!! Thanks!

~ lora who is a desperate FIRST junkie and is willing to have her 56k modem download huge files (albiet slowly) if need be.

Lora,
What specifically do you want. Just any old
footage, or some particular team or something
else. I mean I have shots from the Quincy Pre-
Regional, NY, and Nationals. And NJ, Florida, WPI,
and the Big E! last year too.
Also if all else fails just make one heck of a slide
show with pictures. Easily done in Premire or Final
Cut Pro.
Also since I have made presentations about FIRST
before, and I want to offer a tiny bit f advice. Don't
have the entire video be at widescreen of the field.
The robots don't come out well, and it looks boring
after a while. Try to mix it up with other peoples
footage.

Kyle

Kyle...

I know...I've made Chairman's videos on tape, and productions for tv...but thanks. I've done slideshow type presentations too, and I'd like to show some of the robots in action along with the still frame shots and text. I'm just looking for competition footage - particulary Nats 2001 if anyone has it.

Thanks for replying though )

Check wildstang.com, we've got a few videos, but I'm not sure what we have in quicktime format. If that's not what you're looking for, I've got all of SOAP's 2001 videos from FL & IL on my computer at home, plus some from the 2000 elims at IL (featuring 111, 47, 45). All of these are in quicktime format. If you're interested, email me and I can get some on a server or you can ftp them from my computer.

Mike

Mike,

Thanks for posting....I went to the site, and since I'm on a 56k, it will be awhile before I know whether this will work or not. At the least it will be nice footage to have on my comp ;o)

Lora,

I have burned a CD with all of my QT movies from this year - a few movies each from Hartford, Nationals, and Scrimmages. If you need it I can overnight it to you at your school. Should be there by Thursday. Just give me the address.

P.J.
