Can your field crew dance?

I know ours can (well, thats a matter of what you call "dancing", but for geeks - this isn't bad).

Can your team's?

Re: Can your field crew dance?

I love to dance on the field. Also, it appears me skipping back and forth to scream "far empty cell! go get on that robot! 30 seconds left!" to my alliances qualifies as "dancing"

In the Minnesota elims, we were trying to get creative while getting ready for quarterfinal matches, so we made up an alliance dance for each team. As the announcer called Wave Robotics, More Robotics, or the Blitz Team, we'd link our arms and do a "wave" through them, spin More Robotics shop rags, and then some weird "fan" thing for the Blitz team. A really awesome way to get "in sync" and pumped.

Look at the first minute here for an example.

Haha. In some sense, I believe it does. Dancing for success?

That's pretty clever, though I don't think I could convince our drivers to do something like that. They're pretty focused on driving, we lost in the next match after all the dancing.

Re: Can your field crew dance?

Agree totally. Capability and willingness are two very different things. Anybody can dance, though you could spend your lifetime unsuccessfully trying to convince them of that.
I don't think our field team has ever danced.

I second that. Our field crew has never danced, but I seem to owe someone a Dance at Davis next year...

Re: Can your field crew dance?

1618's 2008 drivers actually had a modicum of dancing ability. (The coach was a total loss.) In 2009, we kept to doing the isitgonnasyncisitgonnasyncisitgonnasync dance, which you can't really combine with other moves.

Note to self: From now on, don't tell people I can't dance. Tell them I won't dance. Guess I'll never know if I can if I never try.

Re: Can your field crew dance?

i was on the '08 game's drive team and i danced, it was fun and just added to all of the excitement... although the guys that were on the drive team with me weren't as enthusiastic as me. and this past season the drive team danced some and had fun while my friends and i danced to every single song we could ... while cheering. it was fun!

461 can DANCE!
