Re: How does your team find work space?
During the lunacy year. We worked in a computer engineering room it was a pain to put everything away at nite. After some good negotiation on our mentors part, we now have a small room. Its not the largest but its great for programing and storage. we also have a sponsor that teaches machining so we have access to the machines.

Re: How does your team find work space?
1618 has always built out of the PLTW classroom, itself a converted wood shop. The actual shop space has been greatly reduced from its prior form, but there's plenty of space to spread out while working.
This season, 2815 built out of the student projects room in USC's College of Engineering and Computing machine shop. The room is just down the hall from the actual machine shop and is shared with the other competition teams in the college (Mini Baja, Solar Boat, etc.). After build, we moved everything back into Steven Kowski's lab across the street to make space for the next project in the room. |
