Chris has it partially correct --
The school district wants to take our funding from our corporate sponsor and start a different program with it. Luckily it is not their money to spend it the robotics teams'. And our principal is actually highly supportive of our team, he just doesn't have a say on if the district *attempts* to take our money. Also we have the entire city council on our side!
