Running Multiple Robots Using FMS Light...

We are trying to run multiple robots at once using the FMS light app and 1 router.
Seems pretty straight forward....
The problem is this, we have our wireless N router set to 10.16.25.4 as per the control system manual. The Wireless bridge on the robot is 10.16.25.1 and the CRio 10.16.25.2 the laptop that is running FMS is 10.16.25.6
If we just want to run our 1 robot using those settings FMS detects the DS and the Robot and runs just fine.
If we then go to hook up another CRio/DS into the network let just say 10.16.26.x (as if 1626 was also running their bot) FMS will not detect the DS or the CRio. If we change the router settings to match the second bot (10.16.26.x) it will work with that bot but will not detect the 10.16.25.x robot.

I have tried 2 different computers and the same problem on both...

Has anyone had any similar problems when trying to run multiple bots with FMS Light?
Anyone have any ideas as to why it will not run multiple bots at once?
I'm hoping its just something simple in the settings i overlooked like some IP not set correctly but ill take any help i can get.

Thanks!

The only router and the bridge settings which matter are SSID and key.

The FMS light laptop should have the Ip 10.0.0.1.

You should also confirm you subnet mask on the PC is 255.0.0.0.

Change the netmask from 255.255.255.0 to be 255.0.0.0 instead, on both the computer and the router. If I understand the problem properly, that should do it.

So i should not let the router assign a DHCP address?

I assume this would be in the network setup page of the router? As in where you set the routers IP and other settings?

I'll give both of these things a try thanks for the help!

It doesn't matter if the DHCP server is enabled, but you do need to set a static IP address.

The correct settings should be, IP:10.0.0.1, Mask:255.0.0.0, Gateway:nothing, DNS servers:nothing

Here are instructions for XP. It's the same for Vista or 7, but you go to Network and Sharing center, then click Manage Network Connections, instead of opening Network connections.

To get your internet connection back after doing this, you will need to reselect Automatically Configure for both the IP address, and the DNS servers, in the IP or IPv4 configuration page.

The router's IP address will have no effect on this, and it may not even be possible to set it to anything less than 255.255.255.0.
