6061 aluminum plate??????????

Does anyone know where to find 6061 alloy aluminum plate (3/16"x7")
Plese help!

You could try McMaster or OnlineMetals (Might of checked them already)

Not sure if they supply the right size, but you could mill it to size.

If you want it to be 7" you'll have to get a custom cut.

I wouldn't go through the effort to order from anywhere but McMaster for such a small piece.

edit: nevermind. The smallest piece they sell is $60 and 12"x12". I've heard good things about Yarde, and I've used onlinemetals with good results.

I like online metal's pricing. After shipping that site is only slightly higher than our local supplier but it's hit or miss whether or not we can get a 27' tube from the local supplier site to ours.

The widest I've been able to find 6061 flat stock in 3/16" thickness is 4". You can find that at most of the sites people have listed so far. I'll throw www.metalexpress.com in too.

If you need 7" width, you'll need to upgrade from flat stock to plate and cut it yourself, or order it pre-cut. Metal Express does carry 1/4" x 8" in 6061 flat stock. But it will cost about the same as getting 3/16" plate pre-cut.

Find one near you, ours has a rack of cut offs which you can buy smaller pieces from. Also there really good about cutting smaller sections from longer pieces.
