Genie

ok, i'm at 'work' (summer research) right now, and i just got an assignment. we have a water cooling system for a detector (don't ask what it detects, it just detects ), and it's all controlled by an ADAM 5000 from Advantech (www.advantech.com.tw). now. this ADAM 5000 thingy is programable (sort of like a PBASIC stamp, i think). it has eeprom, and a cpu, and a bit more memory, but the ideas behind it are the same. the only problem is, to program it, you use this language called GENIE (also from Advantech). GENIE was made to run with Dos 3.3 or higher and windows 3.1 or higher, just so you know how old this stuff is .

my mentor has given me some books and manuals on the ADAM 5000 and GENIE, but i was wondering if anyone knows anything about either, cause it's all new (even though this stuff is almost as old as i am) to me. so, if you know anything about either, plesae help me, cause i'm quite lost right now.
