New 4-H based team in Rhode Island!

On behalf of the Aquidneck Island Robotics 4-H Club I am excited and pleased to announce the formation of a new 4-H based FRC team in Rhode Island.

Aquidneck Island Robotics (www.air4h.org) began supporting youth participation in FIRST programs last year through our FTC team. This year we have expanded and will participate in FRC, FTC and FLL!

Our brand new FRC team “AIR Strike” will have the number 78.
Our returning FTC Team is # 121 “Rhode Rage” and our new FLL teams are #6609 “Rhode Block”, #8860 “Rhode Rules” and #10152 “Rhode Scholars”.

AIR 4-H would like to extend huge thanks to the individuals and organizations whose support has made this possible. Our teams are sponsored by the generosity of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, the National Defense Education Program, JC Penney, BAE Systems, IGUS and the Rhode Island Cooperative 4-H Extension.

We are excited for the start of the 2009/2010 FIRST competition season and look forward to seeing what challenges it brings! Best of luck to all teams!
