Glad to see you are coming, I am a big Winnovation fan. Don't mean to put a damper on the Oz jokes, but just to clarify, the regional is in Missouri, not Kansas.

That's why we can come by school bus , (since Missouri is adjacent to IL -- wouldn't be able to take a bus to Kansas)

The Greater Kansas City Regional was fantastic last in 2009, the addition of Winnovation will make it even better in 2010! The Metool Brigade is looking forward to it!

We're looking forward to seeing and competing with Winnovation and Cyber Blue again on a Regional level.

Due to the fun scheduling of midwest area events, we have transferred into week 3 midwest regional in chicago which is our closest regional and for logistical reasons it would be silly of us not to attend. The largest reason being the ease of getting new parents and school faculty to a regional. The previous hope was we'd register for Kansas City and pick midwest up 2nd round, but Midwest was almost out of spots.

Currently we do plan to attend Kansas City as well, just have to hope spots stay open till the 22nd.

I was just looking at the list, and I saw that Blue Valley, team 2334, will be attending. What friendly numbers!

Hmmm... there's only one rookie team registered for KC this year. If no one else is added to the tournament, this will be the smallest one in KC so far.

Each year at the IRI (Indiana Robotics Invitational), there is a charity auction to benefit local (Indianapolis area) charities. We focus on groups that serve children and families and have donated to The American Cancer Society, The Red Cross, Food Pantries, Hospitals and Developmental Learning facilities to name a few.

One of the items that always gets a high bid is the FIRST Team T-Shirt quilt, which is hand made from donated t-shirts.

We will have a box in our pit (Cyber Blue - 234) to collect t-shirts if you would like to donate one for the 2010 IRI quilt. Any size shirt is fine.
