[OCCRA]: VEX wheelie bar
VGR11 states that we must use only VEX wheels. If we build a "wheelie bar" (a bar that sticks out of the back of the robot to prevent it from tipping over) do we need to put VEX wheels on it? or can we just cover the metal with something to prevent it from damaging the floor?

Re: [OCCRA]: VEX wheelie bar
Official answer:
The rule about wheels is to protect the soft floor. If there is ANY danger to the surface you will be required to remove the object. Yes, we know that arms and such will touch the surface and we will be watching close on this. So.... bottom line is the wheelie bar falls within the same general rules about field damage and the arm. |
