Water is unlikely for practical reasons although every year it gets a lot of discussion.
What would be unique and more practical than water is sand. Reliability and maintainability would be bigger issues with sand. The only real downside I can think of is that it would slow down the match rate if the Field needed to be raked after each match although a play it as you find it philosophy might work. Just my two cents ... keep the change
