Re: Make a wish...AND HAVE IT HORRIBLY CORRUPTED!!!

Granted. Scientists come up with a way to stop the earth from rotating around the sun adding 3 hours to our day. However, this process destroys life and the world fails to support life and we all die. Thanks for wishing Eric.

I wish that school was easier.

Granted... and you are transported into the world of Fahrenheit 451 to do nothing and have censorship pressed upon you...

I wish I could figure out how to uninstall my Anti-Virus... and install a new one!

Re: Make a wish...AND HAVE IT HORRIBLY CORRUPTED!!!

wish granted, you now know how to uninstall your old anti-virus and how to install the new anti-virus, which to your amazement is free, so you download it at school onto your flashdrive. Excited about your new-found knowledge, you decide to put it to use and you proceed to uninstall your old anti-virus. Once you are done with this you plug in your flashdrive to install your new anti-virus to find that your school network had what would normally be a rather harmless virus which has now transferred to your computer. Too bad you don't have your old anti-virus.

I wish that my AP Lit class had a lighter workload.

Re: Make a wish...AND HAVE IT HORRIBLY CORRUPTED!!!

Granted. The workload is now in all your other classes, and every other teacher gives you an amount of homework such that you can only do one class's homework per day, every day. You wind up flunking all your classes just because you wanted a lighter load in one--which you still don't pass, because you aren't doing the work for it.

I wish my Dynamics professor would show up for class today.

Re: Make a wish...AND HAVE IT HORRIBLY CORRUPTED!!!

Granted. The prof. shows up, but forgets which class he's supposed to teach, and starts lecturing on grad-level petrochemical engineering. The students get totally confused, can't convince the prof. there's something wrong. Eventually, this prof. gets fired for incompetence, and the school can't find another, so you can't finish the class, and can't finish your degree.

Meanwhile, the prof. was out last week because he had extreme drug-resistant TB, and by showing up this week, he infects all the students in class, causing an epidemic that makes swine flu look like a mild cold.

I wish weather forecasters could be 99 percent accurate.

Granted. They are 99% accurate within the hour of the weather happening.

I wish my team could find $6-10,000 in the next month. Just to have on hand, you know.

Re: Make a wish...AND HAVE IT HORRIBLY CORRUPTED!!!

Granted. The weather forecasters are 99% accurate, but in the other 1%, they fail to mention a blizzard. Since you do not realize the severity of the storm, you decide that it will be fine to drive your car. On the way out, the storm gets worse, and you are unable to continue to drive. You are then stuck in your car for a few hours until a snow plow finally reaches the street you are on.

I wish I did not have so much to do today.

Re: Make a wish...AND HAVE IT HORRIBLY CORRUPTED!!!

GRANTED. But in the process of sneaking into FIRST HQ, listening in on several GDC meetings, you get hungry in your hiding spot and eat a Snickers, upon learning as much as you can you go home, design, and build a robot all by Christmas and spend all of build season perfecting it. However FIRST already knows that someone had been "in" on one of their meetings and eagerly search for clues as to whom was seen on the security cameras jumping out of the building. The find the Snickers wrapper, get your DNA, and test every person at each event and you are nailed. And FIRST automatically disqualifies you and your team mates from participating in FIRST again.

I wish that I get a much better score on my SAT's this time around.

Re: Make a wish...AND HAVE IT HORRIBLY CORRUPTED!!!

Seeing as two wishes haven't been granted:

Sure, you have $10,000 in the next month. It's stolen, and what's more, the team credit card is charged for $1 million and you can't prove that it was not done by the team.

And, granted, you get a much better score on your SATs. You get a perfect score, in fact, leading every college and university in the country to send recruiting material to you. You're swamped for weeks, and when you finally dig out and eliminate most of them from your list, the remainder won't offer you and scholarships because you took too long to respond. You can't afford them, either, so you wind up not going to college.

I wish that the R/C airplanes my Aero Design team is building (5 are under construction) would be finished soon.

Granted, but your team totally gives up the project (we're finished/ loss of will)...

I wish that Kickoff was closer (time wise)...

Granted. All of your sick work has been completed, and handed in. You receive many 0's because you did not learn the material on the homework, because you were sick.

I wish I had more motivation to complete my homework.
