Housing in JPL area
I've accepted a co-op at JPL for the Spring 2010 semester. I know we have a few LA-area people on here. Where would you recommend cheap, decent housing in motorcycle distance of JPL/Caltech?

Re: Housing in JPL area
You'll have quite a difficult time finding any actual house or apartment near there that is at all affordable. Nothing at all comes to mind actually. Does Cal Tech have any housing available? Is it just you or will you have other people you can split it with?
I live about a 12 minutes drive from JPL, and drive past it several times per week, so hopefully I can help you answer some questions. Sorry I don't have any real ideas on cheap housing. What is your maximum rent per month you can pay? Last edited by sanddrag : 11-11-2009 at 14:18. |

I'm currently paying about $500/mo in Florida. I've found rooms in a 4br house for about $600 or so per month. I really don't feel like dropping a grand a month on some of the apartments I've seen. |
