And because it is 2010 in Maryland, the Event Director has added a tab labeled "Weather" on the homepage

Re: Mid-Atlantic Vex Championship-Feb. 2010

Set-up continues in this enormous venue. AmeriCorps arrives today to help us out the next few days. The disco ball is up.
And there is nothing we can do about the weather!
See you there.

Re: Mid-Atlantic Vex Championship-Feb. 2010

I forgot my camera, but I'm here! 38 teams are on lunch break, with some teams coming into the break with perfect 4-0 records. There are four game fields two challenge fields and two practice fields.

There are also some very very impressive robots running. Every year the engineering gets better and better. Some of the complex lift, grab, dumps are amazing that they work at all, much less over and over and over.

There is a huge group here from AmeriCorps they and all the volunteers in bright green shirts (no, I do not look good in neon green) are making things run very smoothly.

If you get a chance check the webcast or come in person!
