Go to Post Many people here in the CD fora know 'someone' on the inside. They aren't out there somewhere, they are here among us and they won't give an inch regarding the clues. It's very cool. - JaneYoung [more]

NI LabView on Windows 7

Lenovo z61e
Windows 7 Enterprise - 32 bit
Intel Core Solo Processor T1300 @ 1.67Ghz
3.0 GB PC2-5300 RAM

The initial installation dialog from the root of the 2009 FRC Dialog will not work on Windows 7.

If you "Explore" the disc and navigate to the LabView Folder you CAN install the 2009 FRC LabView software as individual items. I am also currently working on installing and testing LabView on a Lenovo S12 Netbook with the following specs:

Lenovo S12
Windows 7 Enterprise - 32 bit
Intel Atom n270 Processor
2.0 GB PC2-5300 RAM

The netbook is definately a cheaper option, and with the 12" screen we simply purchased a 19" LCD monitor to accompany each.

This is not a recommendation as to whether or not to use Windows 7 as your Operating System.

Side Note...
I have noticed increased performace in LabView running on Windows 7
