[FTC]: Our motors are too slow :(

We are programming in Labview, and have just a simple block to maximize our power to 127 on our motors. We have a 1:26 gear ration, and the motors are still waay to slow. Is there some other block that should be in the program to get to the max speed?

Re: [FTC]: Our motors are too slow :(

a 1:26 should give roughly 3100 RPM of the shaft (give or take a few RPM). Try hard-wiring it to the battery and make sure your batteries are fully charged. You also might not have the cable in the motor controller all the way. Check all the wires make sure they all have a secure connection.

What is the set up of the compound gearing system?
because i think you might have a 1:27 instead of a 1:26 just to be clear

Re: [FTC]: Our motors are too slow :(

Are you using the Joystick VI? This VI has an input called Throttle that has a default value of 50. This means this VI will at most output a power of 50% to the motors. Changing this input to 100 allows for the full range of power output from this VI into a Move Motor VI.

Cheers,
Mark
