Re: NI LabView on Windows 7
Unofficially, I do have SolidWorks 2009 - 32 bit running on my laptop with Windows 7 installed.
Please note that the NI software application NI SoftMotion that allows you to communicate between LabView and SolidWorks Motion has not been tested on Windows 7 and requires SolidWorks 2009 SP4 or greater. We will work on this for next year. http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/10099 Marie |

Re: NI LabView on Windows 7
If the labview version that the beta testers have received is any indication, you will NOT be receiving labview 2009 at the start of the season: we are all using 8.6.<insert latest beta update here> - but who knows what FIRST has up their sleeves.
That said, we have several beta testers running labview on windows 7. The installer didn't work (they had to install each component individually) but once they had it up and running, it wasn't an issue. That said, I've been on the more conservative side when it comes to computer programs. Bleeding edge usually means problems, and we already have enough of those with our robot without worrying about finding new problems on unsupported software interactions ![]() |

Re: NI LabView on Windows 7
To my knowledge you cannot get an FRC Toolkit or addons for LabView 2009

Re: NI LabView on Windows 7
If onlt the world made sense, cause i know FTC all you have to do is get a add on why couldn't they do the same for FRC.

Re: NI LabView on Windows 7
NI declared that LabVIEW will NOT support Windows 7 officially for FRC version since they have not completed their compatibility test.

Re: NI LabView on Windows 7
The testing that was done with Win7 succeeded, but since LV 8.6 shipped long before Win7, it wasn't complete. Some of the beta members used Win7 and there were no issues that I remember. What NI is saying is the same thing they say anytime a product has incomplete testing.
