I liked the programming AB test ... it was challenging and fun. Thats amazing that someone got a 5 on it without taking the course (yay, i got a 5 too ). Did you like get the coursework outside school or something, because it's impossible to instinctively know the Marine Biology class or learn it while taking the test (as well as the miscellaneous types of searches and sorts and the things that can't be identified and learned through simple logic and time with the language). But did anyone else feel this way? I mean, i thought the free-response was cool, like with the binary code tree where you had to write a function to encode and decode messages .

That's the only one I liked actually, the huffman encoding binary tree. Everything else was iterative and ugly, I liked the change to recursion. Umm ... as to the class stuff. I glanced at the case study on the ap site. I got the basic design of it, but didn't really look into the code much. I had to do that during the test on one of them, but other than that it wasn't too bad. As for the other types of questions ... if you just hang out on the right newsgroups and read manpages or tutorials, then you eventually learn

I feel so stupid... I got 2s on all my tests (English III, US Hist, Comp Sci AB), but I didn't study so I guess that explains it...

2 in US history, 4 in Comp Sci A, and 4 in Eng Lang/Comp.
Would've had a 5 in comp sci but Id only bothered with the AP classes (which are completely useless imo) for about a week before giving up on them completely. Imagine my suprise when the entire test was dependent on using them.
