Wow. Great project, well deserved.

Since the beginning of consciousness, Man has striven for immortality. While science may extend our biological lives, living a long time is not immortality. Instead, it is when people remember us, for what we did when we were alive.

Here is a man - not a kid, not a young man, but a real, full-fledged man in my book - who will be remembered by many: The people he so graciously gave his time and energy to, and their families for certain, along with the community at large. Imagine what else he'll accomplish in life!

It's not often we hear of someone so selfless, but WOW here's one hero right here in our midst. Bravo.

Wow... This is definitely not a thread I ever expected to see.

Thank you all so much for the (very) kind and encouraging words. It's humbling read each of your comments. I am somewhat at a loss for words after reading all of these replies. But I would like to thank all of you --all of the people close in my life and especially everyone within this community called FIRST --for inspiring me first. I can't wait to meet each of you at various events, I'll be looking for you.

Congratulations Sam. You have one of the better projects that I have herd of in awhile, nice work. I do not know if there could be two better programs then FIRST and Scouting. All most all of my life experiences are through them and I bet yours are to. Welcome to the club and may you hold the honor of the Eagle Scout High.

I love helping out students with eagle scout projects when I can, and I love it when they achieve their goals even more! Eagle scout projects usually end up bringing attention to subjects/areas often overlooked. You had such a great idea!
