Orbit Balls

Hey guys I'm just wondering of anyone has the link to buy orbit balls or the name of the company that produces them. I searched all over usfirst.org and couldn't find it anymore.

P.S. I've got a hunch about the game pieces this year

Do you actually need orbit balls? After helping out at a few off-season FRC events, we at AndyMark have about 400. Currently, they are in the form of a Christmas tree after being displayed. The TechnoKats took these balls and created a 10-foot-tall orbit ball Christmas tree.

Send me a PM if you are wanting any Orbit Balls.

Sincerely,
Andy Baker

Sadly no I'm not looking to take everyone orbit balls from them, what I mainly want to do is look at the rest of the products the company that manufactures them has because Bill's Blog a while back was talking about them securing contracts with certain companies and my hunch is that we'll be getting our game pieces this year from the same manufacturer. So anyone know who makes them?

And artdutra04 thanks for the link, but I couldn't find the company from there. It mention Logo Loc, but they're expertise is in marketing and shipping not making the balls.

What a disappointment, It doesn't look like any are possibilities unless FIRST moves the game pieces to 2" diameter.

Thanks for your help

Re: Orbit Balls

Oh, silly me - I'm looking in the Gallery section of the TechnoKats website but I can't seem to find the tree. Has anyone found it?

Sorry...

Edit: Nevermind, I looked in 'Off-Season Fun And Events'. That's awesome!

Re: Orbit Balls

You know, the Orbit balls seem like decent enough toys. Light and flexible, if they were still around I'd buy a few just to play it.

If they weren't $10 a pop. I literally spent something like $300-400 on balls, as well as 5 hours with of driving. But yes, they're fun to kick and throw around.

Actually they are, a coworker and I used one to play catch with while we were trying to figure out a problem.

hey mr. baker
I was wondering if you were selling a few of those orbit balls? our team only has 2 and it's a bit hard when we have demonstrations so I was wondering if you still had a few to sell? (maybe 10) We wanted to get more but wal-mart on maui only had one.
thanks

Re: Orbit Balls

I could never understand how teams ended up with SO many balls!
There are 4 teams in my city, and the other three have HUNDREDS!
my team still has the 8 that we had all build season :|
We were even the HOST of an off season competition at our school! We still only had those 8 balls afterwards

We did get lucky though, when a few teams around town were getting tired of holding all the balls...so they gave us a few.
I now have an orbit ball and a super cell sitting on my computer

We also have alot more to practice with!
