I believe that 2003 was the first year of game annimations.
As for hints...
2007 (closeup of tube on a spider)
2006: five 'bots tangling with pasta
a game piece obsessed with a shovel's show
and seeing Montana's green heights
5 referred to the backbot, pasta referred to bumpers
I forget how, but the second line referred to shooting
and Montana's green heights implied camera use, as well as Joe Montana -> throwing
