Thank You For The 2010 Kick-Off

To all who helped organize the FRC Kick-Off and prepare for it, thank you.
To the GDC who designed the game challenge and devoted countless hours to all of the different aspects and considerations involved in it, thank you.
To NASA for providing the broadcast/webcast, thank you.

When I asked a 1st year student on a 2nd year team if she had listened to all of the speeches today, she smiled and her eyes twinkled. She had listened well to Dean Kamen, Woodie Flowers, and Dave Lavery. She and and one of her fellow (rookie) teammates, "want to be Supernerds who enjoy the journey, not just the destination." Their words, not mine.

I would also like to thank Freescale Semiconductors, Inc., for hosting a first-ever FRC Kick-Off in Austin. It was a well-planned event, run professionally and smoothly. The feeling of attending a Kick-Off in our own hometown was something that I won't forget anytime soon. It was very special. Thank you so much!

Jane
