Tower Dimensions
Hello. While brainstorming with my team, I came across what seems to be a contradiction in regards to the dimensions of the tower. If you look in 6.2.4, it states that
Quote:
However, if you look at the detailed field drawing, specifically GE-10028, it shows that the top of the tower, which extends vertically from the corners of the platform, forms a square. Furthermore, in 6.2.4 it states that the tunnel is 36 inches wide, which would imply that the bars of the tower are also 36 inches apart. And if you look at the GE-10047 in the detailed field drawings, it shows on the second page that the bump is 36 inches wide, which means that the bars of the tower are 36 inches apart in that direction as well. This supports the drawing of the top of the tower being a square, but it goes against what the manual states, so I am left confused about the true dimensions between the bars. Can anyone help me to clarify this? |

Re: Tower Dimensions
Good catch, I think.
The area cad drawing will be the definitive resource here, so I think your 36x36 is more likely correct. The low cost drawings should be able to confirm it too. |

Re: Tower Dimensions
Happy that I am not the only one struggling with this.

I would also have assumed that when describing the 'depth' of the platform it would be the right and left of the platform, but from the above quote, this would be wrong.. Along with Kpchem's find in the game field docs, I am really confused about the tower dimensions as well as the orientation of the entire tower. For now, I am also willing to believe that the 44" was a mistake, and that it's really 36"x36". |

Re: Tower Dimensions
Perhaps the 44" refers to little "wings" that extend the platform onto the top of the bumps? the tower itself can still be 36" square and centered on top of a 44" wide platform.
I'm still downloading all the docs, and haven't gotten to that one yet. |

Re: Tower Dimensions
The tower is 7 ft tall therefore its actually 84 inches

Re: Tower Dimensions
While we're talking about this, does anyone know the bottom dimensions of the bump? I figured it was the same size as the width of the tower, since they seem to match up in the docs. But anyone have a more solid idea? In the user manual I believe it just mentions the height is 12" and the top of the bump is also 12".

Re: Tower Dimensions
Please correct me if I am wrong here..
Each side of the tower tunnel has a Bump which is actually 3 Bump Assemblies. Bump dimensions: Base = 36in X 46 1/2in Height = 12in Slope = 18in X 46 1/2in @ 45deg Top = 12in X 46 1/2in from GE-10047.PDF |

Re: Tower Dimensions
Another thing...
If you will look carefully at the drawings of the tunnel you will see that the material it is built from is wide (looks like a wood or w/e...), and the INNER dimensions of the tunnel is 36" wide (According to the manual) which means the outer width has to be larger, which is also the platform width. so lets say the width of the material the tunnel is built from (Or the total width) is 4" then it is 36"(Inner width) + (4"(Material width) * 2) with comes to the total of 44" which is the platform width as written in the manual. Hope it helps ![]() |

Re: Tower Dimensions
thanks for that photo. It's quite useful. It also alters one of my design ideas... back to the board.
