question:define elevated?

To be considered elevated while hanging off the tower do we need to be above the platform or can we be like 1-2 inches above the ground?

If anyone has an answer please post it so my team can decide whether or not to hang thanks!

What is... the definition of ELEVATED?

ELEVATED: A ROBOT that is completely above the plane of the PLATFORM and in contact with the TOWER shall be considered ELEVATED.
For reference, the top of the platform is 20" off the ground.

ParkerB is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: question:define elevated?

Most people are saying you have to be above the platform to be considered "hanging". If you are "suspended" on another robot, you do not have to be above the platform.... Or so I understand... Don't take my word for it!
Good Luck!

Re: question:define elevated?

Hmm. I think that ParkerB is correct. There is nothing in the rules about the suspended robot having to be above the platform plane but the first elevated bot has to be above the 20 inch plane.

You are correct, provided that the only thing you're touching is an elevated robot or a suspended robot.
