Where to buy PWM Connectors?

Hi Everyone.

Team 3132 is struggling to find PWM connectors from local online stores in Australia. Can anyone suggest an online store in the United States where we can buy extra PWM connectors and allow overseas shipping?

Thanks.

look here?

http://www.modelflight.com.au/shop/c...lugs-36-1.html

not sure if the extensions would work, but you could maybe ask for exact dimensions of the connectors and see

Allied, DigiKey, Mouser are three big electronics mail order houses in the US

You can get them here.

http://www.hansenhobbies.com/product...rvoconnectors/

Tool: http://www.hansenhobbies.com/products/connectors/tools/

This will allow you to make PWM cables.

Re: Where to buy PWM Connectors?

Welcome to the joys of sourcing parts and equipment across borders! It can be a pain in the butt just getting stuff across the Canadian border, let alone halfway around the world!

If you've checked for local radio control hobby shops, and on the Aussie version of ebay (take a look for servo cable... it seems there are some online shops that ship from Brisbane from my quick glance) and can't find a decent price, then you might want to try making your own, as others have suggested. Not only do you get them EXACTLY the length you want (okay... usually about one centimeter shorter than you want, if you make them the way our team does....) but they also come in a lot cheaper.

You may also want to contact a local radio control flying club where, of course, they know them as servo cables, rather than PWM cables.

Welcome to FIRST!

Jason

Edit: Couldn't go without suggesting a Canadian source: http://www.robotshop.ca/cables-wires...en.html?p=2-20

Re: Where to buy PWM Connectors?

There are several other threads on this subject; a search would prove fruitful.

Re: Where to buy PWM Connectors?

We get ours from hansenhobbies.com also, like JamesByrne up there said. I'd recommend them.

Re: Where to buy PWM Connectors?

Our team custom builds all of our PWM cables, this way all of the cables are cut to length. We didn't have one cable fail during competition(also much better wire management helps ) were as previous years we would use them out of the kit or buy them at the hobby store, a few would always break.

search Digikey.com for the following part numbers

"WM2801-ND" - Connector housing
"WM2510-ND" - Sockets
"WM2517-ND" - Pins

and pick your favorite flavor of ribbon cable
