Cypress board

Hi all,

I've been trying to update the firmware on the Cypress board(I don't know what it is called ) using the Classmate given to us. Classmate my team has did not recognize the board at all. I tried doing it several times but I couldn't get it to sync with the Classmate. So, I just used my own personal laptop to update the firmware on Cypress and worked. Even with the updated firmware, Classmate did not pick up the Cypress board even on the dashboard.vi.

What could be the reason why Classmate is not recognizing the board? Is there a fix to this problem?

side note: USB ports are working fine

Re: Cypress board

Similar problem reported by others here

The fix reported in that thread was to uninstall and reinstall Cypress software on the Classmate.

Re: Cypress board

Thank you for such fast reply. There was a reason why I couldn't find anything about Cypress IO board under this category

Re: Cypress board

if u still have trouble after reinstalling the cypres software with disk, reinstall the FIRST componets of the cypress software. run the DS update setup.exe. when it pops up with the componets to install, click where the cypress componets are and place an x over them so that it uninstalls the componets. then continue. afterwards, rerun the DS update and select to install the cypress(so there will be a check over it). This helped us, because after originally reinstalling the cypress software, our driver station still couldnt connect to the board, only the PSoc programmer could connect.

Re: Cypress board

I would probably try making a DLL file in C and including it on the LabView code. Make the DLL file so that it includes conversion and detection systems so that it can pick up the board and be able to understand it's output.
