Ah, I see what you were thinking.
That's the Front Panel and that is intended to run on your PC just to show the results generated by the rest of the program in the Block Diagram that is running on your cRIO. The Front Panel is just a display. In this example it has to be fed data from the robot to actually display anything. The examples given are all written to execute on the cRIO. If you want a practice program to try out on your PC at home you can take a look at theDecember 13, 2008 workshop here by NI. That one was just for the PC and let you play with a joystick. Quote:
