CAD Kit of Parts

So, we are wanting to begin to model our robot designs in cad, with Inventor, but when we go to the Autodesk Educational Community and click on the 2010 Kit Of Parts, it takes us back to the landing page for the whole educational community. Are any other teams having problems downloading the Autodesk Kit of Parts? Thanks!

We are having the same issue. I tried a few times today from different computers and different networks all with the same result.

I have an account on there, so I signed in, then went to the link and it brought me there. Maybe you are supposed to get an account on there? I think in order to get the student edition of Inventor, you have to make an account, so you should probably already have one. Try signing in and trying the link again when you are signed in.

Re: CAD Kit of Parts

I've tried almost a dozen times on a handful of different computers both signed-in and -out. I've gotten to the download page some times, back to the landing page others. For the life of me I can't even reliably reproduce the error, never mind discern what the cause might be. That said, "if at autodesk.com/first you don't succeed...."

On team 1323's website we have put together a CAD library with almost all items FIRST teams would need.

That is a great website. I recommend it to anyone that does CAD for a FIRST team. It save a lot of time.

One thing I would watch though it the weight. RC has yet to get all of the items to the correct weight. (Trust me. It's not easy.) So as you find some without the correct weight. Just yet him know.
