I read the GETTING STARTED
TABLE OF CONTENTS , Section 2
Set team number is OK.
I try to configure the classmate by to my PC I fail.
If this is not the classmate PC you should set the

My question is it the same config. As the last year

Re: classmate configration

The Classmate needs to have the IP address of 10.xx.yy.5, where xx and yy are the 4 digits of your team number. The cRio will have an IP address of 10.xx.yy.2 when imaged with the FRC cRio Image Tool. If you set your team number in the correct box on the Driver's Station, it will set the Classmate's IP to the correct number automatically. To get it working wirelessly, read section 2.10 of the control system manual. Hope this helps.

Mohammed,

Have you re-imaged the cRio with the crossover cable?

Re: classmate configration

To have reliable communication with the cRIO (either through tether or wireless bridge), it is best to disable the wireless communication on the classmate PC (that is unless you are using a wireless connection to the game router, in which case make sure you are not using the wired Ethernet connection also).

And you have to disable the windows firewall.

If you are still unable to communicate to the cRIO, then try re-imaging using a tether.

Double check your computer IP setting.

If it still doesn't work, here is a link to the NI website with some additional advanced troubleshooting methods.

Good luck!

Re: classmate configration

In my experience, the formatting of the cRIO is the finicky portion of the setup that is thwarted by other NICs and firewalls. Normal operation, downloading programs and such works fine. I suspect most of the tools will cause a dialog asking if you want to allow them to connect to the cRIO, and if you allow, the exception will be created.

If this is not the case, it would be nice to know the details.

That was what we thought...but we had no communication until we disabled wireless (even though we can ping the wireless bridge and the cRIO over wireless with the firewall on).

Wireless is not the same as a firewall.

Sorry, what I meant was both wireless and firewall needed to be disabled in order for us to get wireless communication to the wireless bridge.
