SMC Solenoids

CD,

I figured teams are having a hard time finding out where to buy solenoids since festo won't have their "FIRST" solenoids in till February. One of our engineers who works with SMC found out where to buy them.

This is a SY3000 series valve with the following features:

2 position
Dual coil
Internal pilot
12vdc coil voltage
Built in 300mm long lead wire electrical connection
No indicator light or surge suppressor
Non locking manual override
No sub plate (base)

Same as Festo solenoid provided in the kit. For a double solenoid you need:

Solenoid: SY3240-6H
http://www.pneuaire.com/sy3240-6h.html
Manifold: SY3000-27-1T (Mandatory)
http://www.pneuaire.com/sy3000-27-1t.html

For a single solenoid you need:

Solenoid: SY3140-6H
http://www.pneuaire.com/sy3140-6h.html
Manifold: SY3000-27-1T (Mandatory unless you want to get a big manifold that can hold more than 3+ solenoids in)
http://www.pneuaire.com/sy3000-27-1t.html

You can also order from Motion Industries. Hope this helps, correct me if I'm wrong with parts.

-RC

fyi

SY3240-6 is the important part

H is not necessarily the only option you have here (in case the company you are consulting with is out of stock)

G, L, LZ are suitable replacements, the last bit just describes the wiring options

Re: SMC Solenoids

We have a whole bunch of doubles, but only a handful of singles. The singles appear to just be doubles with an endcap attached to block it off.

I am having a heck of time trying to find if you can just buy that endcap.

Does anyone know this?
