Making Program Wireless

This is my first time using Java and I am wondering how to make the program run Wirelessly. I have experience making a program wireless using Labview but not sure if it is the same with Java. Could anyone tell me if you use the same procedure or what is the proper way of making the program wireless? Help would be much appreciated and I'm sorry if I sound repetitve.

Re: Making Program Wireless

I dont know about labview but it should be the same steps I assume. The way i have had it set up is just connect to to the router via wifi. and set your ip to the right setting and you should be good. make sure u disable the lan port sometime it will try to connect thro it. if you want wireless from the robot just follow instruction in the control system pdf.

Re: Making Program Wireless

If you are using the classmate does that mean you don't need the blue driver station box anymore? Also, do you still the wireless router on the control station if you are using the classmate?

That is correct, you don't need the blue kwikbyte driver station, the classmate takes its place. You do still need the wireless router. You should read the control system manual at http://usfirst.org/frccontrolsystem
