Wireless issues

We cannot connect wirelessly to our router from the classmate.

Every other team laptop including mine can reach it with ease, but the classmate can only see the school wireless.

I follwed the documentation on how to set it up I just can't see the network.

Any advice?

Re: Wireless issues

You will never need to connect your Classmate wirelessly to the network; it will always go through Ethernet. You won't be able to see it as it is an N network, and from the bit of research I just did, the wireless NIC in the Classmate is a b/g card.

EDIT: I'm wrong. Blackphantom91 is right.

However, I still don't see the need to connect wirelessly. The DS is going to be wired at competition, and the dashboard software changes your Ethernet IP, not your wifi IP.

Re: Wireless issues

The DS software can handle a wifi connection just like it does an ethernet connection. Look under diagnostics-- one of the indicators is for DS radio. There are instructions for setting it up in one of the control system documents.

You do need a G network. The veteran router can do N and a G at the same time, the rookie router can only do one, and I'm not sure you can make the robot radio connect over G.
