Question C-Rio download issues

when i want to download the code to the robot, it seems to succesfully complete the task, but when i restart the control system and hook it back up to the classmate, it says that there is no robot code. i have already formatted the C-Rio correctly and have tried putting the default code on (although it may or may not be last years default code). Are there some coding changes that i am unaware of? originally i thought it was just the classmates configuration settings, but if that was the case, shouldnt the jaguar lights still become solid? pls help!!!!

I am assuming you are using FIRST>Download with the correct build file, correct?
have you updated windriver? http://first.wpi.edu/FRC/frccupdates.html
do you have the v19 image? http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/lang/en/id/1534

If you don't tell the cRIO you want the program to run at startup, it won't be running after you restart the control system. How are you downloading the code? What tells you it seems to succeed?

Why do you have to "hook it back up to the classmate"? You shouldn't need to unhook it in the first place.

Re: C-Rio download issues

ok let me make this a little clearer (is that a word ...) basically, we are using a seperate laptop from the classmate to program and compile on (since the classmate is such a crappy laptop) and that is why i had to "hook it back up" to the classmate. I do not know how to tell the C-Rio to run that code in particular on startup. yes, i have the windriver update. yes, i have v19 image on the C-Rio. yes, i did specify the correct path for the built binary image.

hope this helps explain.... pls help

I still don't understand why you unhook the Classmate at all. The router has four Ethernet ports, so you can have both the Classmate and your development laptop connected at the same time.

Page 21 of C:\windriver\docs\extensions\FRC\C Programming Guide for FRC.pdf might help.
