Go to Post 254 bends CIM shafts every now and then in the drivetrain. I didn't believe it was possible until I saw it myself. - AustinSchuh [more]

Cypress FirstTouch hex file?

In the benchtop instructions we are told to go to where we downloaded the "FRC_IO.v1.hex" and select the "FRC_IO.v2.hex file", yet my team and I can't seem to figure out where those files are obtained from.

Thanks in advance for any help we receive!

Re: Cypress FirstTouch hex file?

The hex file should be installed along with the other files for the driver station. It should be placed into the directory All Users/Documents, or All Users/Public documents, depending on what the OS calls it.

You only need the v2 file... the documentation has a typo where it references v1. As Greg said, it should be installed by the Driver Station Installer at: www.usfirst.org/frccontrolsystem then click on Mandatory Driver Station Update. This instaler can update the classmate or be installed on any other computer to run the driver station software.

Re: Cypress FirstTouch hex file?

This file (FRC_IO.v2.hex) can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents after installing the driver station update.

Re: Cypress FirstTouch hex file?

Should the "Warning!--> Debug mode enabled....." cause any concern?

It shows up in the screenshot in the documentation, but no mention of it is made.

Any idea how to 'turn it off in PSoC Creator?'

Thanks,
Sten

Nothing to worry about. I guess when I released it I built the debug version of it accidentally. Should not hurt anything.
