In my long career (in other words, I'm old) many of my years have been spent in hiring roles -- software engineering supervisor and manager.
By far -- really not even close -- the 2 best hires I ever made were both: 1) females 2) music majors in college Maybe just coincidence -- but maybe not. Edit: I should have just spelled this out.
