'No Code' after cRio Reset
Hello All,
We are programming in Windriver. For starters, downloading the code worked perfectly fine at the beginning of the season. Very recently however, we have had an issue where after we download the code to the cRio, on restart it will come up saying there is no code (the robot comms light will be green, but the robot code light will be red). When the robot is on we can run the program in memory just fine, but for some reason the FIRST->Download function no longer works! We have done all the required updates to the best of my knowledge. The last thing that I did was the labview update for the classmate, however I would like to add that the issue had already begun before that update. Any ideas what would cause this issue suddenly, so late in the season? Thanks in Advance! -GoodSky |

Re: 'No Code' after cRio Reset
I beleive the problem might be with the Crio not the code because i'm haveing the exact same problem programming in Java as you are in C++, and reading thought the fourms some people are haveing this problem with lab View also.

Re: 'No Code' after cRio Reset
I finally got the code to download! After a lot of trial and error I found out that if I used the DriverStationLCD object, then the code would not download. I have no idea why this happens (and in fact, I was able to use that object for a while in the beginning on the season). However, consistently when I try to print to the DriverStationLCD object the cRio would say it had no code and since I have removed it I have not had that problem.
If any one else has some insight into why this happened that would be good. |

Re: 'No Code' after cRio Reset
There have been quite a few errors reported from using the DriverStationLCD object since the Feb. 3 update. Using it crashes the user code on the cRIO, causing it to report no code. Hopefully there will be a fix soon

Re: 'No Code' after cRio Reset
There seems to have been a compiler or linker bug that was causing a static const int variable to not initialize correctly that just started happening. I posed a new version here:
http://first.wpi.edu/FRC/frccupdates.html That seems to fix the problem. That's the only change in this version so there's no need to update if you aren't using the DriverStationLCD class. |

Re: 'No Code' after cRio Reset
I'm not ignoring your posts, i just haven't been able to try anything since wiscosin is having a snow storm and after school activities have been canceled for the past two days. I hope to try the new update tomarrow.
The samething has happened to Java, you can find the Java update here: http://first.wpi.edu/FRC/frcjava.html Last edited by tutkows1 : 09-02-2010 at 19:33. |
