Re: Pre-season events - Where are they?

The density of teams around NJ is HUGE.

Anyone that has practice space that they are willing to share in Philly, Central NJ and up north to NYC should post here!

It would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

We are looking to either ask 816 for assistance, 103, or 303. Mike, how far are you from either of these teams?

Re: Pre-season events - Where are they?

303 we actually teamed up with last year to get a field model put together. But there has been some communication breakdown between our teams for some reason. Our high school is literally 5 minutes from theirs and 10 from their build site last year. It would be great if they had space, but I think the people we knew there are gone.

103 is in PA somewhere, and its at least 40 minutes to the border from our school.

816 is about an hour and 20 min from our school, which is do-able. I sent a member of their team a PM just a few minutes ago.

3 decent options. There are about 10 teams within a half hour of our school, who I was hoping would pop up here. But anything within an hour is feasible for our team.

Re: Pre-season events - Where are they?

We are still looking for a firm post about pre-season. We are 95% ready to go. Our preference is Saturday for teams waffling on what day to try to meet. We have a goal / target, tunnel and a bump we could bring.

Thanks!

Re: Pre-season events - Where are they?

From Bill's Blog there was a request to let him know about the preship scrimmages and it looks like FIRST is making a good effort to get them all posted in the community events:
http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprogr...nt.aspx?id=436

I submitted a potential Championship Conference Presentation Abstract to talk about how teams can easily run their own pre-ship and offseason events on many scales. Its good to see so many teams are doing it (from the FIRST site), but we should definitely get more going, as they are invaluable for testing your robot in a much more real environment & potentially selecting your driveteams.
