Nice! I like the idea of it, if I"m interpreting it correctly. (Pogo stick for a kicker spring, eh?)

Yep! Our 2008 robot actually used the entire Flybar assembly as a ball propelling mechanism, so we have a few "thrusters" lying around. We've decided to use one to power our kicker.

Oh, and for those who don't know what a flybar is, it's not your ordinary pogo stick:
