Wow! The machining that was done to cut weight on the inside of those plates looks awesome! Flip the plates and show it off! Its quite a beauty. We're planning on doing that, and it'll be quite a looker. Hahaha I guess I missed the point of the teaser, but regardless, I like it

294 has a long history of doing this. Some of the prettiest frames in FRC.

Once again, great frames. Is that wheel design any different from previous years? New iteration perhaps?

The wheels are a new iteration of the wheels on our 2008 robot.
7 inch diameter instead of 4
accommodates 1 inch wide tread
The spokes are beefed up a bit to handle all of the robot weight shifting forward over the bump.
Our main sponsor Northrop Grumman did an excellent job machining the wheels and sideplates.

Yeah, it's not actually a flipping robot; there's just a clone stacked ontop of the original:

1. It's too short... a flipping robot requires the bumper zone to be legal upside and downside down.

2. I think Greg Needel is right - looks like there's too many CIMS.

3. The two long aluminum panels are slightly crooked, you can tell if you examine the zoomed-in picture closely.

4. Why fillet the corners of the midline, if it's one unit?

5. Why on earth would you make a sideplate out of 2 pieces instead of 1, especially when you have the option to do 1 instead of 2?
