Re: Editing 'Set Speed' on the dashboard
You cannot send data from dashboard back to the robot. That is a one-way trip.
You can send values from the driver station I/O tab. The four compatibility sliders can be set by HW such as pots if you connect the I/O board to the DS, or you can set them onscreen by dragging. Scale them up or down a bit, and you have a Speed Setting. If you only want to do this for debugging, what Mark pointed out is one of the major debugging features. Instead of using a constant, make the value a control on the panel. Run using the arrow, open the panel, and change the number whenever you like. Once you know what the number needs to be, you can make it a constant, or keep it a control and make sure to set the current value default using the control popup. Greg McKaskle |

Re: Editing 'Set Speed' on the dashboard
Make a numeric control on the front panel of the teleop VI. And in the block diagram you can have it multiply the x and y values by the control.
Just set the control min and max to be between 0 and 1. So then when the control on the front panel is half way your motors will go half the speed. Basically makes a throttle. |
