Re: absolute minimum for displaying image on dashboard

heres a few possible reasons:
low battery
not fully connected (plug almost in)
not using crossover
faulty cable (like broken wire in it)

I believe its the crossover. I assumed a cross-over cable and a ethernet cable was the same thing, and have been using an ethernet cable this whole time. Is the dark grey cable that came with this year's kit a cross-over cable?

EDIT: yeap, it was the crossover cable. I had it hooked up to the bridge, which is why I couldn't find the cross-over around. I just switched the cables and it worked. Thanks byteit101

Re: absolute minimum for displaying image on dashboard

crossover is orange (last year) or pink (this year)
crossover is a ethernet cable with some wires crossed over, so no one is a master
