Pressure Regulator Placement

We are planning on using three pressure regulators, one at 120psi for the storage tanks and two at 60psi after the solenoid right before the piston. Would this be legal or does the air going through the solenoid count as "working"

I'm going to say that the inspectors will want you to move that one to before the solenoid.

<R76> “Working” air pressure on the ROBOT must be no greater than 60psi. All working air must be provided through one primary Norgren adjustable pressure regulator.
A. All “working” pneumatic components (e.g. valves, cylinders, rotary actuators, etc.) must be downstream from this regulator.
B. Only the compressor, relief valve, pressure switch, pressure vent plug valve, pressure gauge, storage tanks, tubing, and connecting fittings may be in the high-pressure pneumatic circuit upstream from the regulator.

Let's see here: Solenoids could be counted as valves. Solenoids are not explicitly allowed upstream of the primary regulator and are therefore illegal to have upstream of said regulator.

You'll definitely have to move that regulator that supplies the working stuff. And don't forget, you'll need the gauges to verify the setup.

<R76>, part B, does not allow for solenoids on the high pressure side of the main pressure regulator.

There is no 120psi regulator just a pressure relief valve.

The important rule is

<R76> “Working” air pressure on the ROBOT must be no greater than 60psi. All working air must be provided through one primary Norgren adjustable pressure regulator.

You can have up to 4 tanks before this regulator to store air at 120psi. That the pressure vent and the pressure switch are all you can have in front off the 60psi regulator. All other components are on the low pressure side of that regulator.
